The city turnout for the rec center issue was just over 20 percent, which is a very good number according to the BOE for a special election.

Delaware Recreation Center
Location - South Houk Road
Owned by the City of Delaware Operated by the YMCA (ymcacolumbus)
To create indoor and outdoor recreation facilities for everyone:
• A state-of-the art fitness center with cardio-equipment, weights, weight equipment
• A full-size, multi-purpose gymnasium
• A Child Watch activity room
• A natatorium for water exercise, swim lessons, play and leisure time, & competitive swimming
• Multi-Purpose spaces
• Sport fields on the site
• Upgrades to exisiting facilities including lighting upgrades
The Levy: Delaware income tax rate raised from 1.4% to 1.55%
For a household earning $51,000, the additional tax would be $77 per year.
Discounted fees for Delaware residents & reduced fees for low income families
Partnering with the Ohio National Guard – in an adjacent building with shared-use of their space
